HOW TO ARRIVE

From the exit at Liberia Airport:

1.  Travel westbound (right turn) for 6.3 miles exactly to Route 151

(Playas Del Coco) then turns right and RESET the mileage meter on your car to 0.

Helpful hints:  at 5.1 miles you will cross a bridge ,  at 5.4 miles you will see a right hand turn to Playa Papagayo (don’t turn) and also a big commercial center with a Do-It Center there

2.  When you turn right at Route 151 (there is a green sign to four different places including Playa del Coco) go a total of 8.9 miles to

Playa del Coco.

At 8.5 miles you will see Pacifico development and shopping center on right hand side.  This is the place to get all of your food and supplies if you need them.

At 8.9 miles (end of street in Playa del Coco near the water) turn right at the Lizard Lounge.  There is a big “Corona Extra” sign that helps to identify this.

Go to 9.5 miles to the entrance of “Urbanazación Las Palmas”.  There is a big anchor on a guardhouse at the entrance.  Enter here by turning right and go to end of street (approx 200 yards) and turn right at Las Palmas.  (This is a dead end by the way).  Go about 100 yards and turn left at Navidad.  Go to end of street where it dead ends (Valle Azul,

I think).  Turn right and go about another 100 yards and turn in the 2nd driveway on the right hand side.  The condo is GREEN and has a nice drive in entrance.  The condo’s before are a peach color and kind of share a driveway.

Park under the parking overhang so your car is out of the sun and unlock #9.  You will probably want to turn on the air conditioners at the entrance, in the kitchen and in the master bedroom.  The controllers are on the wall.

I suggest setting them on 20 degrees Celsius with the fan setting on medium to low.  The high setting will make it too cold.

For a really cool place for beers and bar, food goes to Father Rooster in Playa Ocotal.  It’s about a 15 minute drive and right on the beach.  To get to the beach just walk back to the entrance area (Urbanazacion Las Palmas guard house) and take the first dirt road you see toward the water.  You can turn left or right when you get to the road but either way you will find a path that takes you right out to the beach.
